DESCRIPTION: A new star is on the horizon. The first U.S. Capella Hotels and Resorts location will open Feb. 12, 2009 in Telluride thanks to a partnership with developer RAL Companies & Affiliates LLC. Capella Telluride will serve as the brand's official introduction to the U.S. hospitality marketplace, offering guests and residents the ultimate on-mountain experience. The intimate setting of Capella Telluride will honor the unspoiled mountain grandeur that has made Telluride a storied year-round destination.

Located in Telluride’s Mountain Village, Capella Telluride will include 100 hotel ski-in/ski-out guest rooms and 60 fully-owned condominium suites. Located mid-mountain above the Town of Telluride, Capella Telluride enjoys the finest location on the mountain, with unique skiing access. Additional location amenities include an ice skating rink, golf course, tennis courts and rock climbing wall.

SETTING: Telluride's Mountain Village is perched at 9,500 feet, affording it magnificent views of the surrounding San Juan Mountain Range. This sensational alpine setting is considered among the most beautiful in the world. The San Juan's unspoiled panorama of jagged peaks, rock and snow combine with thousands of acres of rolling alpine meadows, aspen and spruce trees to create one of North America's most grand mountain vistas. All of this is seen from one of the world's finest ski destinations, Telluride Ski Resort, which offers 84 trails serviced by 16 lifts and a variety of ski runs, ranging from easy cruisers to expert-only steeps. Telluride was voted the number two North American ski destination by Condé Nast Traveler for the 2007 season. A complimentary gondola connects Mountain Village with the historic Town of Telluride, offering breathtaking views during the brief ride. Downtown Telluride's mix of Western and Victorian architecture is charming, and Main Street bustles with fine restaurants, nightlife and shopping.
